I am a Los Angeles based lighting designer for theatre, dance, and events.

I discovered my love of the performing arts in elementary school, and by high school I was trying my hand at many different facets of it, including directing and design.  In college, I got a part time job as a stage hand at the campus auditorium.  While working a Spring dance concert, I had the opportunity to work closely with a lighting designer.  The experience inspired me to register for lighting courses and sign up to assist other designers.  I wanted to learn all that I could about this new medium, and that sense of joy at new discoveries is still one of my favorite parts of design.

I earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Lighting Design from the University of California, San Diego.  The same year, I was awarded the Lighting Design Assistantship through the FAIR program at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.  Since that time, my work has been seen at the San Diego Ballet, the University of Southern California, The Malibu Playhouse, East West Players, the Pasadena Playhouse, and others. I am a proud Artistic Circle member of Chalk Repertory Theatre, and have designed many of their productions.

My preliminary entrance into the world of themed entertainment lighting came of as a member of the Radiance Lightworks team, designing the lighting for two mazes at Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios Hollywood.  I jumped more fully into architectural and themed entertainment lighting by working for a year at the Thinkwell group. I am currently continuing that path as a member of the lighting design team at Exp, where I design lighting for theme parks, aquariums, zoos, museums, resorts, and casinos. Most recently through Exp, I had the honor of working with Meow Wolf as the on site Lighting Coordinator as well as one of a team of wonderful Lighting Designers on the recently opened Convergence Station in Denver.
